Dr. Genco and Dr. Schifferle are two distinguished doctors from UB’s School of Dental Medicine.
They need your help with a study they are performing, regarding the benefit of supportive periodontal therapy in diabetics and non-diabetics with periodontal disease. Help out the medical community, more importantly help yourself, tackle this disease. This study requires you to attend UB’s dental clinic for about 5-6 visits. You must be 25 years or older and must be a non-smoker.

DR. KEN SNYDER - University at Buffalo Neurosurgery
Dr. Snyder joined UBNS in 2011 after completing his fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery with UB Neurosurgery and spent 6 months as a research fellow at the Barrow Neurological Institute under Dr. Robert Spetzler. He completed his neurosurgical residency at UB and received his PhD in biophysics under the guidance of Dr. Frederick Sachs specializing in mechanoelectric transduction of cellular membranes. He is trained in all general neurosurgical procedures, including brain tumor, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery.

Dr. Ciancio and Dr. Shibly are two distinguished doctors from UB’s School of Dental Medicine.
They need your help with multiple studies they are performing.
The first study focuses on people with receding gums. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, a non-smoker, and must NOT have diabetes.
The second study focuses on having a metabolic of bitter taste in your mouth. You must be at least 18 years old and have these tastes in your mouth. The last study they are performing focuses on bleeding gums and periodontal pockets. You must be at least 18 years old, a non-smoker, and NOT have diabetes.
